Josephine O’Sullivan

Josephine “Jo” (Ruggiero) O’Sullivan of Duxbury, passed away June 16, 2018 with her family by her side.

Jo and her six siblings were born and raised in Newton to the late Giuseppe and Antonetta Ruggiero. Jo graduated from Newton High School and was a secretary for many years. Always thinking of others, she was an active volunteer and took great pride in hosting dinners for family and embroidering beautiful tablecloths as gifts.

Jo was a very kind and caring person and her family, friends and faith were a source of joy and happiness to her. She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted husband and family. 

Happily married for 62 wonderful years to Paul V. O’Sullivan. Loving mother of Mark O’Sullivan and his wife Debra of Norfolk and Susan (O’Sullivan) Jain and her husband Ashok of Chicago. 

Cherished grandmother to Bridget, Kevin and Brian. Also survived by her special niece Susie (Alix) Howard and her husband Tommy of Charlestown. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend all services on Friday from 9:30 – 10:00 am in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main Street, followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church (Chapel) in Duxbury at 11:00 am. Burial to follow Funeral Mass at Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.
