Josephine M. Murdock

Murdock, Josephine M. (Cannata) of Hingham, passed away January 2, 2013 at age of 104. Beloved wife of the late Charles G. Murdock. Loving mother of Charles M. Murdock of Florida and the late Joan M. Letson. Devoted grandmother of Cathy Fisher, Lee Letson, Joanna Sands, Brian Murdock, Wayne Murdock and Eric Murdock. Josephine is also lovingly survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Josephine was born in Boston, she lived in Hingham for over sixty years. She was known to her friends and family as always being a very positive person with a wonderful outlook on life. She enjoyed walking on the beach, dancing and shopping. She was very active with the Hull Senior Center and considered everyone there her second family. Josephine was a devoted Catholic, her faith and her connection with god was her constant companion. Josephine’s family was the most important aspect of her life, she treasured them with all her heart. She will be missed by family, friends and all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hingham/ Old Ship Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Josephine may be made to Hull Senior Center, 197 Samoset Ave., Hull, MA 02045.
