McLean, Josephine J. (Snelders) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, passed away October 14, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Colin F. McLean. Loving mother of Colin F. McLean, Jr. of Quincy, Joanne Connolly and her husband Paul of Scituate, Carol Murray and her husband Thomas of Marshfield, Barbara Glasheen and her husband David of Hingham, and Mary Connolly and her husband Gerard of VA. Sister of Thomas Snelders of Plymouth and the late John Snelders and Helen Feeney. Cherished grandmother of Debra Connolly, Maureen Murray, Karen Huth, Christine Godino, Lynda Ricciarelli, Marybeth Conroy, Susan Blair, David Glasheen, Jr., Thomas Murray, III, Kelly Connolly and Sean Connolly. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Josephine’s family was the focus of her entire life. She was the consummate caregiver, who always gave unselfishly. She was a member of the St. Matthew’s Church Ladies Sodality, Catholic Daughter’s of America and the Star of the Sea Prayer Group. Josephine worked as a secretary at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Dorchester, for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She will be remembered as a strong and devoted woman, who had a wonderful sense of humor, and was very accepting of all the loved ones in her life. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Josephine may be made to Autism Speaks, 5455 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 2250, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
