Josephine F. Bagley

Bagley, Josephine F. (Fay) of Hingham, formerly of New Rochelle, NY, entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2011, at the age of 99. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter J. Bagley, Sr. Loving mother of Catherine “Hollie” Bagley and her husband Leo P. Gallivan of Hingham, Walter J. Bagley of NY, and Edward F. Bagley and his wife Daphne Daunt of ME. Mother in law of the late Marilyn Bagley. Loving sister of the late Eleanor Jordan, Florence Charron, Edna Fay, Sr. Mary Ann Fay, and Agnes Vensel. Cherished grandmother of Jonathan Bagley and his partner Heather Rowe of CA, and L. Patrick Gallivan of Braintree. Great grandmother of Nathan Bagley of CA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Josephine’s family was the focus of her life. She was originally from Waterbury, CT and then moved to New Rochelle, NY with her late husband Walter in 1948. Before her retirement in 1981 Josephine worked in the library at the College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, NY. She also enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and doing word searches. She will be remembered as a true lady who had a wonderful sense of humor, a sharp wit and a fun loving nature. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial to take place in New York on Thursday.
