Joseph T. Kennedy

Kennedy, Joseph T. of Norwell, formerly of Weymouth, died September 17, 2015.

Joe was a hard working man who was a dedicated provider to his loving family.  He was proud of his Irish heritage, yet a true American Patriot.  He was a wonderful cook, enjoyed dancing the Polka, treasured a great bargain, and was an avid Boston sports fan.  He worked for a shoe distributor, then later a self employed salesmen of shoes who worked on Cape Cod.  He could tell the size, style and maker of a lady’s shoe from a mile away.  The best part of his work was meeting so many interesting people.  A selfless man, he participated in several American Cancer Society’s Relays for Life in Hanover.  He will be remembered as a caring, humble, respectful and honorable man.  His quiet nature and polite manners were admired by all who knew him. 

Beloved husband of Terry Ann (O’Hare) Kennedy of Norwell.  Loving father of Joie Douglas and her husband Michael of VA.  Cherished stepfather of Kerry Berlen and her husband Vincent of Norwell and Joanne Markunas and her husband John of Weymouth.  Brother of Francis Kennedy of Weymouth and the late Peter Kennedy.  Grandpa to Christina, Nicholas, Anthony, Braden, Peyton, and Colby.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home.  Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
