Joseph T. Bennett, Sr.

Bennett, Joseph T. Sr. of Quincy, died unexpectedly on May 6, 2015.

The beloved husband of 44 years to Margaret (Edson) Bennett of Quincy.  Loving father of Stephen Bennett of Bourne, Kevin Bennett of Wareham, Lisa Deagle of Taunton, Joseph T. Bennett, Jr. and Tracy Webb both of Quincy. Brother of George Bennett of Norton, Wayne Bennett of Plymouth, Debra Hartnett of East Boston and the late Richard Bennett and Karen Sheppa. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Joseph grew up in Roxbury and spent several years in Dorchester before moving to Quincy. He was a well known DJ who went by the name of Mr. Music. He not only enjoyed music but movies as well. He will be remembered as sweet, caring, generous man who went out of his way to help others. He was devoted to his family, and although they will miss him deeply, they feel blessed to have had him in their lives. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life service will be celebrated on Thursday evening at 7 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.
