After the war, Bud returned home and married Betty, also of Weymouth who has been his loving wife for 63 years.  He graduated from Wentworth Technical Institute for Engineering and went on to a successful business career in the sheet metal and HVAC industries, most recently working for Buckley Associates in Hanover. Between 1958 and 1964, Bud was the hockey coach of the Weymouth Hockey Club, an amateur team in the Old Colony Hockey League.  He coached many local college players of that era.   In addition, he was also the coach of the St. Francis Xavier Weymouth CYO hockey team from 1965 – 1970. Bud was an avid golfer and was a former member at South Shore Country Club and Wollaston Golf Club.  For the most recent 35-years, he was an active member of Marshfield Golf Club. Bud was also the President of the Tall Oaks Condo Association in Weymouth.

Bud is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth “Betty” Hartry (Brown) of Weymouth, devoted father to Stephen Hartry and his wife Linda of Framingham, Carol Powers and her husband Robert of Maine, and David Hartry of Templeton.
