Russo, Joseph “Pops” of Boston, died June 2, 2016.
Joe was a proud United States Army Veteran who served during WWII. He was a “jack of all trades and a master of many”. Joe retired from the United States Postal Service after working as a mechanic for over 40 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and reading. Joe will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved husband of 33 years to Michelina Russo. Loving father of Lisa Wescott, Michael Russo, John Russo, Albert Saccoach, Karen Saccoach, Stephen Russo, Paula Currivan, Michael Saccoach and Joseph Saccoach. Devoted Pops of 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe was pre deceased by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be private. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joe may be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 597 Randolph Ave., Milton MA 02186.
