Joseph R.  Carty, a longtime Quincy resident, died December 15, 2018 at home, surrounded by his family.  The beloved husband of 62 years to Jane (Hanagan)  Carty of Quincy. Loving father of Joseph F. Carty of Brewster, Lynne M. Lacorazza of Lakeville, Lori Mann of Dracut, John Carty of Dedham, Mary Bryant of Weymouth, Michael Carty of Tenn, Paul Carty of Quincy and the late Bonnie Carty. Brother of Eleanor Svehlak of  MD, Dotty Johnson of Las Vegas and the late John, Thomas, Walter, Mary, Rita, Agnes, Anne and Terry.  Joe is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A longtime member of Local 103 – Joe worked as an electrician for more than 50 years. He served his country in the Naval reserves for several years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:15am prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10am.

Burial in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, Boston.
