MacDonald, Joseph M. of Pocasset, October 19, 2005. Husband of the late Theresa M. (Richard) MacDonald. Loving Father of Dianne McNamee and Robert MacDonald both of Mashpee, Barbara Payne of Yarmouthport, Joseph W. MacDonald of Avon, Bernadette McCarthy of Mansfield and David MacDonald of Quincy. Brother of the late William MacDonald. Mr. MacDonald is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Mr. MacDonald grew up in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School. He married and raised his family in Jamaica Plain . He lived in Weymouth before moving to Quincy . He lived in Quincy for more than 20 years before moving to Canton. Mr. MacDonald moved to Pocasset six months ago. Mr. MacDonald along with his late wife Theresa loved big band music and were great dancers to swing music. They enjoyed dressing up and dancing together. Joseph also played the drums and was active with CYO drum & bugle corps. His family remembers him as an avid sports fan and had a passion for baseball. He also was known as a movie buff. He enjoyed bingo with his late wife Theresa. However, Joseph’s first love was his family and was so very proud of all his grandchildren. Mr. MacDonald was the supervisor for the security department at Harvard University for 20 years retiring back in 1988.
