Joseph L. Prendeville

Prendeville, Joseph Lawrence – Of Canton, age 50, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2014.

Loving father of Patrick and Shannon. Beloved son of Eileen and the late Patrick Prendeville. Dear friend and former husband of Debra Halstead Herrera. Treasured brother of Mary Ellen Young of Canton and Nora and her husband Curt Cravens of California. Cherished uncle of Nicholas, Cameron, and Lucy.

Joe was born in Boston, graduated from NQHS class of 1982, and pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science degree at Quincy College. Joe worked as a contractor throughout MA and Florida.

Joe’s happiest moments were spent playing with his children, coaching little league, watching his champ Patrick play sports and his baby girl Shannon show off her latest dance moves and gymnastics, as well as relaxing over a cup of tea with his mother. He was an avid Boston sports fan & loved to encourage his kids, niece, and nephews to find a sport they enjoyed, give it their best, and have fun.

Joe cherished all of the wonderful memories he had with his many adoring in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was always surrounded by laughter with his great sense of humor that turned any event into a hysterical tale. Joe’s family want to thank each and everyone who touched Joe’s life and was there for him through all the ups and downs along his short journey here with us. We are forever endeavored to everyone, especially Billy, Neal, and Denny who reached out to Joe and treated him like a king during the precious last chapter of his life.
