Joseph L. Nelligan

Joseph L. Nelligan, of Hingham, formerly of West Roxbury and Pocasset, died April 24, 2017. Joe proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had a 36 year career as a lineman with Boston Edison, retiring in 1992. Joe was an avid golfer and past member of the Norfolk Golf Club. He will be sadly missed.  

Beloved husband of Kay (O’Keefe) Nelligan of Hingham. Devoted father of Joseph Nelligan, Jr. of West Roxbury and Marion Mahony and her husband Jerry of Newton. Father-in-law of Maureen Joyce of West Roxbury. Cherished Pa to Meghan, Joey, Katie and MaryKate. Loving brother of Robert Nelligan of West Roxbury, Frederick Nelligan of West Roxbury, David Nelligan of Bellingham, Rita Dwyer of Millis, John Nelligan of Walpole and the late Thomas and Paul Nelligan, Helen Bernard, Marion Holland and MaryLou Sullivan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Thursday at 10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 12 PM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.

Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Stret, W. Bridgewater, MA 02379-1022.
