Joseph K. Callahan

Callahan, Joseph K. of Quincy, died October 26, 2017.

Joe was a lifelong resident of Quincy. He worked for the school system for many years and later worked as a landscaper. He enjoyed playing the lottery and watching football. He was an avid Redskins fan. The cornerstone of his life was his family, especially his grandchildren. Joe will be remembered for being a humorous man who always had a big smile on his face. He will be sadly missed.

Son to the late Robert and Mildred (Dinella) Callahan. Loving husband to Ria Callahan (Christello) of Quincy. Dear step-father to Linda Baldwin of Quincy, Kristen Baldwin of Quincy, and Nikki Baldwin of Quincy. Cherished “Papa” to Kiana Ortiz, Nico Hinds and Adrianna Long. Beloved brother to Robert Callahan and his wife Gail of Quincy, William Callahan and his wife Cheryl of Plymouth, Maryjane Hall and her husband Jimmy of Quincy, Edward Callahan and his wife Joan of Weymouth, Lillian Calley and her husband Larry of Quincy, Michael Callahan and his wife Lisa of Braintree, Susan Mackey and her husband Edward of Foxboro, Tricia Sullivan and her husband Robert of Quincy, Joyce Driscoll of Weymouth, Cynthia Burns and her husband Robert of Randolph, Julianne DiCienzo and her husband Peter of Braintree and Beverly Callahan of Randolph. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joseph may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
