Joseph G. Demarco, Sr.

Joseph G. DeMarco, Sr., age 76, of Weymouth MA, formerly of Melrose, MA and St. Pete Beach, FL passed away, after his battle with Congestive Heart Failure, peacefully with his loving family by his side on early Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017.

Joseph was born in Boston, MA and raised in Revere, MA. He completed his studies in the architectural program at the Boston Architectural Center in the late 1960’s. Joseph was a registered architect in MA, NH and FL along with being a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Boston Society of Architects, Association of Licensed Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He was the principal owner of IN/EX Design Group until he joined the Design Team at Channel Building Company, as their Project Architect. Joseph was a retired member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard. He was a devoted husband, father and “papa”. He was a very lovable man who enjoyed making people laugh. He spent his retirement years building bird houses and painting water colors. 

He leaves his beloved wife Rita (Giannini) DeMarco; his son Joseph G. DeMarco, Jr. and daughter-in-law Rebecca, of Milford, MA; his daughter Sara (DeMarco) Daley and Philip Daley of Weymouth MA; his grandchildren Ariana DeMarco, Joey C. DeMarco, Daniel Daley and Brandon Daley, who will miss him dearly. Joseph is survived by his siblings Pasquale (Chuck) DeMarco and sister-law Jennie DeMarco of Revere, MA and Marie (DeMarco) Fowler and brother-in-law Joseph Fowler of Lutz, FL. He also leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Joseph is pre-deceased by his brother Anthony (IE) DeMarco and sister-in-law Rose DeMarco, brother Vincent (Jimmy) DeMarco and sister-in-law Laurie DeMarco. 

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. A gathering, honoring his life, will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the South Shore and the American Heart Association.
