Joseph G. Chirillo

Joseph G. Chirillo of Weymouth, passed away at home at the age of 76 on April 4, 2016.

Joe was born in River Rouge, Michigan. He moved to Hingham and graduated from Hingham High School Class of 1959. Joe was a member of the Hingham Universal Car Club, with his 1953 Ford, for many years in which he was proud of. He joined the Weymouth Fire Department in 1967 and was with the department until 1978, when he was injured and retired in 1979. Joe and Beth were active with country music and enjoyed country line dancing together. He was an avid gardener and many of his friends and family enjoyed the vegetables from his garden. Joe loved and enjoyed time with his grandchildren and watching them grow. 

Beloved husband of 53 years to Elizabeth A. “Beth” Chirillo of Weymouth. Devoted father of Joseph G. Chirillo, Jr. and wife Sue (Wentzell) of Abington and Mellissa Chirillo of Weymouth. Cherished grandfather of Matt and Chris Chirillo of Abington and Karlee Chirillo of Weymouth. Loving brother of Thomas Chirillo of Hull, Lawrence R. Chirillo of Holbrook and the late Severous “Pat” Chirillo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 AM.

Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
