Joseph Francis Fitzpatrick, Jr.

Joseph Francis Fitzpatrick Jr., a cherished resident of Quincy, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2023, following his valiant battle with glioblastoma.

A beacon of strength and love, Joe was a dedicated father, devoted husband, caring brother, and beloved son. His family, the cornerstone of his life, revered him deeply, and he reciprocated this affection with unbound admiration. His three children, who continually admired him then and persist in their admiration now, were a source of immense pride for Joe. He was adored by his parents, who eagerly awaited his phone calls during his commute home from work each day.

In his leisure time, Joe relished engaging in various hands-on projects, with a particular fondness for maintaining his yard, a testament to his diligence and attention to detail. A man of unwavering faith, Joe’s profound belief in God remained steadfast, and when attending mass in person became challenging, he found solace in watching the services on television daily.

Joe held a distinguished role as Vice President of Operations for multiple non-profit organizations, demonstrating an exceptional work ethic that was recognized and respected by his colleagues.

A proud veteran of the Marine Corps, Joe wore his service to his country like a badge of honor. He derived immense joy in sharing tales of his military adventures with his children, painting vivid pictures of camaraderie and resilience. His captivating stories, coupled with his infectious sense of humor, ensured he could effortlessly bring laughter into any room.

As a doting older brother, Joe loved his siblings unconditionally. He leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and laughter that will continue to echo in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known him. His absence will be deeply felt, yet his spirit lives on in cherished memories.

Joe is a Loving son of Joseph and Donna (Alessi) Fitzpatrick of Florida. Beloved husband of Gina (Poley) Fitzpatrick of Quincy. Devoted father of Faith Fitzpatrick, Noelle “baby” Fitzpatrick, and Joseph Fitzpatrick III, all of Quincy. Also survived by Kathryn (Teevens) Fitzpatrick (Faith and Noelle’s mother) of Quincy. Cherished brother of Matthew S. Fitzpatrick and his wife Erika of Bourne and Jessica (Fitzpatrick) Danielski and her husband James of FL. Loving uncle of Olivia, Brady, Sydney, Reese, Ella, Annaliese, and Amelia. Cherished brother-in-law of Eric Poley and son-in-law of Brenda Poley.
