Joseph F. Pelland, “Joe”, age 54 of Weymouth, died suddenly on April 13, 2013, while on vacation with his wife and friends.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Weymouth. He met his high school sweetheart, JoAnn, while a senior in high school and they have been together ever since. Joe and JoAnn married in 1982 and had three wonderful sons, a great source of love and pride to them both.
Joe enjoyed traveling, taking several ocean cruises with family and friends. A life long motorcyclist, one of Joe‘s favorite trips was to Laconia for Bike Week with his close friend and brother-in-law Mike Parker. Joe was a Patriots fan and loved watching games on Sundays with his wife, sons and many close friends. Papa especially loved to spend time with his grandson, Kyle, telling stories and taking walks around Whitman‘s Pond. Joe was a model train enthusiast and shared this love with his sons and grandchild.
Growing up in North Weymouth, Joe had many boyhood friends with whom he remained close his entire life. Joe and JoAnn chose to stay in Weymouth after their marriage, staying close to old friends and making new ones. Joe was the manager of That’s Italian Too in Weymouth for over 25 years. He will be missed by the many customers who received his warm welcome every day.
Joe leaves his wife of 30 years, the love of his life, JoAnn (Murray) Pelland. He also leaves his loving children Joseph F. III, Brian M. and Jeremy M. Pelland, all of Weymouth.
