Santospirito, Joseph E. of Quincy, formerly of Mattapan, passed away February 6, 2011. Beloved son of the late Antonio and Cristina Santospirito. Loving brother of Ida Patrizi of Quincy, and the late Manny Santospirito. Cherished uncle of Joanne DiBella and her husband Ron of Quincy, Christine Sullivan and her husband Bill of Yarmouthport, and Michael Patrizi of Quincy. Also survived by several grand nieces, a grand nephew and a great-grand nephew. Joseph’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to South Suburban Dialysis in Quincy for their compassionate care. Joseph was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. His family owned and operated The Santospirito Bros Store in Mattapan for over 75 years. He played the violin, enjoyed conversations and telling humorous stories. In his earlier years, he was an active parishioner at St. Angela’s Church in Mattapan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joseph may be made to South Suburban Dialysis, 241 Parkingway, Quincy, Ma 02169.
