McCaffrey, Joseph E. of Quincy, May 30, 2006. Beloved husband of Ann (Kennedy) of Quincy. Loving father of Joseph and his wife Margaret of Holbrook, James and his wife Elizabeth of Weymouth, Paul and his wife Marcia of Whitman, Deborah and her husband Ron Karchenes of Braintree, Ann Marie, William and Sean, all of Quincy. Brother of Rev. James of Weston, Alice Dwyer of VA, Claire Brady of Scituate, John of Boston, Jane Coleman of Norwood and the late Margaret, William, Michael and Frances Mulkern. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr. McCaffrey may be made to MGH Cancer Ctr., Lung Cancer Research C/O MGH Development Office Boston, MA 02114. Joseph was a lifelong Red Sox Fan. Mr. McCaffrey was a mail handler with the United States Postal Service at the South Boston Annex. He retired in 1990 after thirty years of service. He enjoyed spending time at Foxwoods in CT and Atlantic City, NJ. Mr. McCaffrey was born and raised in the Savin Hill section of Boston. Joseph is a Korean War Veteran with the United States Air Force.
