Joseph E. Lamm

Joseph E. Lamm of Weymouth, passed away September 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of June and Jim DeBlois of Carver and the late James Lamm. Joey is survived by his wife Jayne, his children Kristen Stoddard and significant other Sean Carr of Manomet, John Murray of Weymouth, Jami and Jay Borden of Pembroke, and Jillian and Jennifer of Weymouth. He was the devoted grandfather of Makenzi, Haleigh, and Emily. He also leaves his sister Jane Cole and husband Frank of Marshfield and sister Dawn Pitrone and husband Jimmy of Deland, FL and many nieces and nephews.

Joey graduated from Weymouth High School and worked at the Boston Herald for many years before working for the Town of Weymouth in the Water Department. He was a member of the Weymouth Elks for over 35 years and a bartender there for 25 years. Joey loved bowling, played softball for the Weymouth Elks and was a member of the Tuesday night golf league in Rockland. He got his first hole in one last year after 40 years. Joey will always be remembered as a man of great integrity and character. He had a wonderful sense of humor, which was certainly shown in every aspect of his life throughout the years. He was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle and friend to all. He will be truly missed by all who were blessed to have known him and all those lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at at 9:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joey’s memory may be made to Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA), P.O. Box 83893, Gaithersburg, MD 20883.
