Kingsbury, Joseph D. “Red” of Quincy, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on August 15, 2013.
He was a member of the Roxbury Old Timers. A proud U.S. Army veteran. He and his wife recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Joe will be remembered by all those who knew him as a funny, hardworking, “one of a kind” guy and for his devotion to family and love of his home. He lived a rich and full life.
Beloved husband of Regina (Swain) Kingsbury of Quincy. Loving father of Joseph of Chatham, Jed, Julie Anne, and David; all of Quincy, and the late Suzanne. “Gah-Gee” to Joseph, Justin, Brendan, Kyle, Cameron, Chloe, and the late Jasmine. Brother of Donald of Chelsea, Edward of Quincy, Paul of NJ, Thomas of Dorchester, Elizabeth Vogelsang of Plymouth, Linda Conti of Northborough, Jane Logan of Quincy, Daniel of Weymouth, and the late Carol, John, James, Richard, William and Robert. Beloved Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
