Joseph D. Diggin

Mr. Joseph D. Diggin  of Weymouth, died January 15, 2015.

Joe worked for many years as a Bus Driver for the MBTA. He loved to travel, go to the beach, and took much pride when he was on his motorcycle. He was also a friend of Bill W, and was a member of the Snug Harbor Group in Quincy, as well as the motor bike club, called the Retreads and enjoyed many bike rides cross country with them.  Joe served in the United States Air Force during  the Korea War Conflict.

Beloved husband of the late Germaine T. (Walsh). Loving father of Michael Diggin and his former wife, Kathy Creed of Weymouth, Billy Diggin of Marshfield, and Jane Silcox and her husband, Paul of Wrentham. Brother of the late Helene Padula. Proud Gramps to Michael Jr, Lauren, Morgan, Danielle, Joe, Jack, and Kerrin. Great Grandfather of Aaliyah. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.

Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472
