Conroy, Joseph of Hingham February 19, 2004. Beloved husband of Helen Maude (Murphy) Conroy. Loving father of Teresa & her husband Carl Durk of Pocatello, ID, Mary & her husband John Perry of Plymouth, Marion & her husband William Burton of Carver, Clare Rooney of Fall River, John P. Conroy & his wife Diane M. Shields of Quincy, Elaine & her husband Kenneth Spink of Plymouth and the late Joseph Conroy, Jr. Brother of Mary Louise Cargill of Melrose, Mildred Stoprya of FL, Donald Conroy of Weymouth, Paul Conroy of Hanson, Joan Conroy of Melrose and the late Eleanor Conroy. Devoted “Grampa” of Beth, John & Kate Perry; David & Kathleen Durk; and Bryan & Scott Burton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.Mr. Conroy worked as a machinist and in quality control for Gillette for 35 years, retiring in 1983. During WWII, he worked at the Hingham Ammunition Depot. He was a family man who enjoyed his grandchildren, singing and dancing. He loved the ocean and Nantasket.
