Joseph A. Ribaudo

Joseph A. Ribaudo: 80, of Hingham passed away July 5, 2014, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Patricia (Higgins) Ribaudo for 57 years.  Devoted father to John Ribaudo and his spouse David Alexander of CA, William Ribaudo and his wife Svetlana of Wellesley, Joseph M. Ribaudo and his wife Monique of Needham and Michael Ribaudo and his wife Gina of N. Andover.  Proud Papa of 9 grandchildren.  Son of the late Isidoro and Josephine(Basci) Ribaudo.  Brother of the late Lucia Ribaudo Smith.  Also survived by two nephews and one niece. 

Born in New London, CT, Joe graduated with a BS in Accounting from UCONN in 1956 and joined the U.S. Air Force as a 2nd Lt.  He served one year in the States and two years in Japan accompanied by his wife Pat.  He retired from the Air Force in ’59 with the rank of Captain.  Joe was employed by Peat, Marwick and Mitchell CPA’s for 15 years, first in Albany, NY and then in Boston.  In 1976, he joined Wolf and Co. CPA’s in Boston as a Partner in the banking division and eventually became Managing Partner for 10 years before retiring in 1999.  Joe was a member of The AICPA and active in the MA Society of CPA’s, serving on various committees and also past President of the Society.  Joe had a life-long love of boating and was a former Board member of The Blue Water Sailing Club and The Bare Cove Power Squadron.  Joe was a member of the Hingham Yacht Club and a former Board member of Hingham Institution for Savings. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours: Tuesday, July 22nd, 4pm-7pm at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, MA 02043.  Funeral Mass: 10am, July 23rd at Resurrection Church, 1057 Main Street, Hingham.  Burial at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hersey Street, Hingham.
