Morissette, Joseph A. of Hingham, died on February 23, 2012, he was 83. The beloved husband of 57 years to Lillian L. (McNamara) Morissette of Hingham. Cherished father of Lillian M. Morissetts and Deborah Morissette both of Hingham. Devoted Pop of Brittany L. Morissette of Hingham. Son of the late Joseph A. and Louise (Mullen) Morissette. Brother of Anne Theodos and her husband Victor of Centerville and the late Louise Morissette. Uncle of Louise Preti of Middleboro. Joseph also leaves behind his beloved dog Teddi. Born, raised and educated in Milton, Joseph graduated from Milton High School where he was captain of the football team. Joe played the drums, he loved to ski and dance. He served in the National Guard for many years, he also earned his pilot license. He enjoyed working out in his yard and found great pleasure in building his own shed. The essence of his life was his family. He was at his happiest when he was surrounded by them. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather and caring brother and uncle. Although his family is heartbroken, they are all grateful for the blessings that he brought into their lives. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
