Joseph A. “Joe” Calabro

Calabro, Joseph A. “Joe” of Quincy, died on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at home surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of Katherine (Johnson) Calabro. Beloved father of Mary Lou and Bill Frisoli, Weymouth, Gail Walter of FL, Linda Donovan, Paul Calabro and his girlfriend Vicki Compston, and Brian Calabro, all of Quincy. Loving brother of Elizabeth Iacobacci, Steve Calabro, Angie Ryan, Frances Bullock, John Calabro, Robert Calabro, Richard Calabro, Lorraine Roberts and the late Tony, Michael, Sammy, Marie, and Anna. Cherished grandfather of Chuck and Denise Walter, Mary Beth Frisoli, Melissa and Steve Anzalone, and Kevin Donovan. Dear great grandfather of Shane, Nicholas, and Taylor Walter. Joe is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joe was a retired Custodian for the City of Quincy School Department. Prior to that, he worked for Bethlehem Steel for over 25 years. Joe enjoyed going to Foxwoods and watching the Red Sox and Patriots. Joe had a passion for dancing and music. He was commonly referred to as “Dancing Joe”. Joe’s greatest love of all was his family. He will be truly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday, 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
