Connolly, Joseph A. of Hull May 24, 2007. Beloved husband of Isabel (Agostino) Connolly. Loving father of Maureen Connolly and Keith Connolly & his wife Patricia of Hull. Brother of the late John J., James E., and Edward Connolly, Jr. Devoted “Grandpa” of Sean and Colleen Connolly. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Cremation will follow. Mr. Connolly loved to work. Early in his life Mr. Connolly worked as a driver for Associated Transport . He also drove for Film Transportation,delivering movies to theatres in the New England area. In addition, Mr. Connolly was a private chauffer for E.M.Lowe. In the 1960’s he worked as a custodian for the Hull Public Schools. When he was in his 70’s he returned to the Hull school system and continued to work until he was 81. He retired several weeks prior to his death. Mr. Connolly also worked for many years for the U.S. Post Office. During WWII, Mr. Connolly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a survivor of the Coconut Grove fire in which he assisted carrying out the victims. He will be greatly missed.
