John “Ziggy” Zerigian

Zerigian, John “Ziggy” of Quincy unexpectedly died on March 18, 2008. Beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Gillen) Zerigian of Quincy. Devoted father of Jacqueline O’Shea of MI, Rose Zerigian of MN, and John Zerigian of Nantucket. Cherished grandfather of Keira Roth. Loving brother of Nancy and her husband John Burke of Watertown. Dear nephew of Anna Kooyoumjian of Watertown. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ziggy worked for Stop & Shop, formerly Purity Supreme for over 30 years where he was a Steward for the UFCW Union Local 1445. He was currently employed as a Receiver at the Dorchester location. Ziggy was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus NQ # 2259 and for over 15 years, he was always available to help out on Thursday nights. Ziggy was a former Bingo caller for both Sacred Heart in N. Quincy and Notre Dame Academy in Hingham. He enjoyed bowling on various bowling leagues and was a coach for the Quincy Youth Baseball. Ziggy spent many years as paper carrier for the Patriot Ledger. Most of all, Ziggy loved his family and was very proud of his children and grand-daughter. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
