Hall, John W. of Quincy February 6, 2008. Husband of the late Winifred (Regan) Hall. Father of John E. Hall of Marshfield, Richard D. Hall of Dorchester and Maryellen Hall of Quincy. Grandfather of Joanne Robertson and Meghan Hall both of Quincy. Great Grandfather of Keira. Special friend of Chrissy Osgood, Chris Leone, Gary Linscott, Kevin O’Neil, Billy Mogardo, Mike Powers, Harry Zingas and the late Harry Agganis. John was a lifetime member of the American Legion Cyril Morrissette Post in Quincy. A W.W.II proud Navy veteran. John was a veteran of 11 assaults on Japanese held islands. He enjoyed yachting, thoroughbred racing and was an avid sportsman. He was a former member of the Dorchester American Legion Walsh Post #369. John always enjoyed traveling to warmer climates. He was a very social man, who enjoyed being around his numerous friends. He was the type of guy who didn’t have a mean bone in his body. He enjoyed life to the fullest! He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, January 10, in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. Quincy from 2-6pm followed by the funeral service Sunday at 6pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the Quincy Veterans Council, 8 Howe Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
