John W. Gorman, Jr.

John W. Gorman, Jr., a lifelong resident of Weymouth, died November 8, 2016 at the age of 84.

John served in the U.S. Army Battalion Intelligence Service in Korea. He was a retired Special Police Officer and Emergency Medical Technician at Boston Children’s Hospital and was also a firefighter at the former Fore River Shipyard. His memberships included the National Assoc. of EMTs, the MA Assoc. of EMTs and the National Fire Protection Assoc. John enjoyed reading and watching TV news programs.

Beloved husband of 45 years to Kathryn Q. (Rajal) Gorman. Loving brother of Thomas Gorman and his wife Christine of South Weymouth and the late Irene Gorman.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Jerome Church, 632 Bridge St., Weymouth on Monday at 10:30 AM. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the N.E. Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
