John W. Delappe

DeLappe, John  “Jack” W. of Quincy, passed away January 10, 2014.  

Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Katherine (Heffernan) DeLappe.  Loving father of Susan DeLappe of Quincy, John DeLappe of Coral Gables Florida and Leslie DeLappe-Lally of Weymouth and the late Christopher DeLappe.  Jack was the cherished grandfather to David and Rachel Lally of Weymouth, and Nicolette and John Michael DeLappe of Coral Gables, FL.  

Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School.  Jack was a resident of Quincy for 60 years. Jack was a member of the Greatest Generation and a Navy veteran of WWII who proudly served his country and received his honorable discharge in 1946.  He worked for the Boston Quartermaster Depot and then 41 years with the United States Postal Service.  He was a life long member of the NALC Branch 34 Boston. Jack loved history and enjoyed traveling.

At Jack’s request, Services are private. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
