John T. Shaw

Shaw, John T. of Quincy, May 08, 2010. Belvoed husband of Helen C. (Kostka) Shaw of Quincy. Loving father of Elizabeth Forde Quincy and Marilynne Regan and her husband Michael of Long Valley, NJ. Brother of Peggy Reapsummer of Lake Placid, FL and the late William Neal Shaw and Elsie Kohler. John is also lovingly survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. John was born in Kerrville Texas in 1923. John worked as Chief of the Claims unit for the Veterans Administration Regional Office in Boston for 45 years before retiring in 1983. John was an artist showing his work at The Milton and Quincy Art Association. He also enjoyed photography, woodcarving and writing poetry. John was also a member of the St. Moritz Horseshoe Club. Most of all John loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 5 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Funeral Service will be held in the Keohane Funeral Home at 11AM on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
