Day, John T., Jr. of Hingham, June 12, 2007. Beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Madden) of Hingham. Loving father of John T. Day, III, Patrick Madden Day and Colleen O’Connor Day, all of Hingham. Son of Margaret (O’Connor) of Cohasset and the late John T. Day. Brother of Carron Day of FL, Janet DeCourcey of Hingham, William J. Day of LA, Thomas Day of N. Reading and Michael P. Day of Andover. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. John’s focus and passion were his family. He was a loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and friend. John enjoyed being involved with his children in their various activities. He either coached or assisted with their soccer, basketball and hockey leagues. He enjoyed tennis, running, sailing and anything to do with being on the water. John took great pride in his family name. He was named after his Dad, who was also an attorney, and he in turn gave the name to one of his sons. Mr. Day was gentle, happy, generous with his time and resources, warm and had a silly sense of humor. He enjoyed socializing and entertaining friends. John was a fan of the Boston sports teams, including the Red Sox, Patriots and Boston College Football. He was a prominent and successful attorney in the Real Estate Conveyance Field in the greater Metro Boston area. John was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He was a graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College and Suffolk Law School.
