Swiriduk, John Sr. of Lexington, formerly of Hull and Milton died March 31, 2007 in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Romanuck) Swiriduk. Beloved father of Patricia and her husband Richard Perry of Lexington, and John Swiriduk, Jr. of New Hampton, NH and his late wife Janet. Cherished grandfather of John Peter and his wife Elisabeth Swiriduk, Scott, Richie and Lauren Perry. Loving brother of the late Alice Lannin, George, Stephen, and Peter Swiriduk. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM. John left Russia at the age of four and settled with his family in Hanover on their thirteen acre farm. In his high school years he worked at Stetson Shoes. Then he worked for Berwick Cake Co. He was later a salesman for Table Talk Co. in Brighton for 34 years retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. John and his wife Helen spent 20 years wintering in Pompano Beach, Florida and 40 years summering in Hull. He enjoyed sports especially boxing and baseball. While in Florida, he would attend some of the spring training games for the Boston Red Sox. He also had the opportunity to personally meet Rocky Marciano and have his picture taken with him. He managed to fulfill a dream and return to Russia in 1975 with his son John and brother George. He loved history and was an avid WGBH viewer. His 98 years was almost a century of history in the making. It helped establish his terrific outlook on life and his ability to never be judgemental. His biggest passion was his family and friends and doing for others.
