He was always proud of his American heritage, and in 1938 he returned to the U.S. He was employed for 37 years with Westinghouse in Hyde Park and retired at age 63. He was a kind, highly intelligent, easy going gentleman who took great pride in his 65 years of marriage, his five children, his ten grandchildren, and his four great grandchildren. Throughout his life, he loved music; he enjoyed the ocean, boating, deep sea fishing, and carpentry. John could fix anything. During his retirement, he especially enjoyed wintering in Naples, FL with his family and many friends. He enjoyed vacations in Europe and travels to the family farm. John maintained a care free nature, a keen sense of humor, his intellect, and his dignity right to the end. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
