John S. “Jack” Tassinari, President of Tascon Corporation, (Tassinari Construction) in Rockland died at Massachusetts General Hospital on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 following a brief illness. The longtime Braintree resident, who was currently living in Hanover, was 67.
Jack was raised in Braintree and attended the Braintree schools. Following graduation from Braintree High School, he studied business at Burdett College but, a builder by trade, he began a long career in the construction industry. His passion was Building and developing numerous projects.
He founded Tascon Corporation in 1985 and it became a family business.
Always active in the community, Jack maintained lifelong friendships and helped many people through the organizations to which he belonged. He was an active member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Massachusetts and The United States Coast Guard AUX. He also belonged to many local charitable and fraternal organizations in his community. He had a very giving spirit.
A man who always lived his life to the fullest, found time for personal activities as well as quality time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors; big game fishing, boating, hunting, world traveling, golfing, wine making, and his summer home in Falmouth. His family and friends were always most important including his dog Bailey. Jack’s presence Illuminated a room when he entered.
Jack was the beloved husband of 42 years to Susan E. (Wallace) Tassinari, the loving father of John S. Tassinari, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Abington, Jeffrey R. Tassinari and his fiancée Kristin Demontigny of South Weymouth, Christopher G. Tassinari of Hanover, and Predeceased by Christian W. Tassinari. Loving Grandpa to Lucas, Isabella, and Madison. Devoted brother of Robert R. Tassinari, Jr. of Braintree.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 3-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of St. Clare, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
