John S. Doucette

John S. Doucette, 73 of Hingham, MA, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

He was a lifelong resident of Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School in the class of 1966. He entered the Navy shortly after and proudly served his country for 22 years. He then worked as a civilian employee of the Navy. In retirement, he worked part time for McDevitt Enterprises, Inc. of Hull, MA. John was a nature lover and enjoyed many camping and fishing trips to the Keys in his camper with his brother, Joseph.

John is predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Florence, and his brothers: Richard and his wife Maria of MS, and James and Joseph of Hingham, MA.

He is survived by his brothers: Kenneth Doucette and his wife Gayle of Hingham, Vincent Doucette of Hingham, Paul Doucette and his wife Sylvia of AZ, Charles Doucette and his wife Holly of AZ, his sister, Christine Doucette, of Brockton and many loved nieces and nephews.

John will be remembered at the 10 AM Mass at St. Paul’s Church.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 9:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in John’s name to the Pat Roche Hospice Home, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
