John Robert Panarello

John Robert Panarello of Weymouth, originally from Dorchester, died January 24, 2015 at the age of 77.

John served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic and platoon barber. For 27 years, he worked as an airline mechanic for Northeast/Delta Airlines. After retirement, he worked as the facilities manager for BioMerieux in Rockland. John was an avid boater, hunter and aviation enthusiast. So much so, that along with his friend Paul Babcock, they completely rebuilt a J3 Piper Cub airplane. Most of all John cherished his time with family and friends.

Beloved husband of 45 years to June E. (Flynn) Panarello. Loving father of William J. Panarello and wife Jody of Saugus, Kathryn L. Krasner and husband Larry of Medfield and Brian F. Panarello of Foxboro. Cherished “Grampy” of Jarad, Jeremy and Trevor Panarello. Brother of the late Joseph Panarello, Guy Panarello and Domenica “May” Hamner. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and his beloved parrot Oscar.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
