John R. Carmody

Carmody, John R. of Braintree, died December 25, 2014.

John worked for 54 years as an electrician for Local # 103 as well as for many years with the MBTA. He was an avid runner completing five Boston Marathons, one Newport Marathon, an avid sports fan and took much pleasure for his daily walks with his dog, Riley. He was also a friend of Bill W. He was also a veteran serving with the United States Army.

Beloved husband of Tina L. (Lizzi) Carmody. Loving father of Therese Pond and her husband, Barry, of Taunton, Tina Fuller of Braintree, Richard Carmody and his wife, Lynn, of Norwell, Joan Willard of Weymouth, and the late Jennifer Carmody. Brother of Madelyn Mueller of Randolph. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and  many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
