John P. Filo, Jr.

Filo, John P., Jr. of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, died on April 24, 2010. He was 51. Beloved husband of Kristin M. (Manzer) Filo of Quincy. Devoted father of Stacy Filo of Saugus and Janelle Filo of Quincy. Loving son of the late John P. Filo, Sr. and Barbara T. (Kelly) Filo. Brother of the late Julie Bruno and Barbara Babcock. Cherished grandfather of two grandsons and one granddaughter. John was born in Boston and lived in South Boston until moving to Quincy 10 years ago. He worked as a Chauffeur for 12 years at various transportation companies. John was a Quincy Youth Hockey Coach for the past two seasons and took great pride in it. He was an avid dog lover and enjoyed visiting Castle Island, detailing his car and smoking cigars. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02170. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Faith Lutheran Church, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the ALS Assoc.
