John N. “Jack” Mcbride

McBride, John N. known by all as Jack, of Hull, passed away on March 31, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old. Jack was born in Somerville on July 20, 1934 and was the beloved son of the late Reginald and Claire (McNeil) McBride and son-in-law of the late Robert and Catherine Lafford. Jack was the devoted husband to his sweetheart of 49 years, Patricia A. McBride, and loving father of Robert McBride and his wife Mé of Hull, Keri-Lynn and her husband Tim of Santa Fe, NM, John and his wife Lynda of Hull. He was the proud grandfather of Joshua, Jerome, Hannah, Amanda, Haley and Melody McBride, surrogate grandfather of Dru and great-grandfather of Braden. He was the beloved brother of Bea Lahey, Edward McBride and the late Marie MacLean. Jack is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives and special friends (Denise & Dick Dinn, Lorraine & Donny Gillis, Darb & Eddie Hashey and Anne & Louie Larson). Jack honorably served in the U.S. Army and worked as plant manager for Precision Coating in Dedham for over fifty years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his cherished dog Brady. Practical – generous – humorous – loving. Jack will always be remembered as family man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Saturday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4- 8 PM.
