Joseph M. Susi of Milton, originally of Dorchester, February 26, 2016.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Elia (Franciosa) Susi. Devoted father of Joseph M. Susi, Jr. and his wife Martha of Milton, Rosanne Susi Spring and her husband Patrick of Milton, and Gina Susi Leimkuehler and her husband Christian of Milton. Grandfather of Lydia and Joseph Michael Susi III,  Alia and Giana Spring, and Marc and Sofia Leimkuehler of Milton. Brother of Lydia (Susi) Federico and her late husband Joseph Federico of Dedham, the late Mario S. Susi, Jr. and his wife Natalie of Milton, and of the late Raymond P. Susi of Milton. Brother-in-law of Enrico Franciosa and his wife Concetta of Walpole, Giovanni Franciosa and his wife Rita of Easton, and the late Francesco Franciosa and his wife Carmel of Walpole. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Joseph resided in Milton for 45 years.  Together with his late brothers Mario and Raymond Susi, established the M. Susi & Son Inc. of Dorchester in 1955 – a road building company. They went on to be one of the most well  known and respected contractors in the Boston area. He also established numerous affiliated companies such as M. Susi HMA and The Raynham Corporation. His strong work ethic made his work his hobby. Joseph enjoyed restoring antique cars. He had a relentless pursuit for success. He loved a challenge. Joseph’s foundation of his life was his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather, a beloved uncle and an inspiring mentor to all those who knew him. He will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 3-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth’s Church – Milton,  at 10 AM.

Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
