John M. Mangiaratti

John M. Mangiaratti of Weymouth, died February 2, 2017 at the age of 87.

After proudly serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, John worked as a letter carrier for the USPS in North Weymouth for 30 years. He later worked for 26 years as a school bus driver for the town of Weymouth. Cribbage and gambling were two favorite past times. He also enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center; trips to Las Vegas; and the Raynham Dog Track. Most of all, John loved his family.

Husband of the late Jean A. (Galiano) Mangiaratti. Loving father of Dianne M. Craig and her significant other Dennis Giannotti of Goshen, NH and John M. Mangiaratti, Jr. and wife Michele of Midolthian, VA. Brother of Mary Boudreau of Dorchester and the late Concetta D. Sciaraffa who passed away the same day as John. Cherished grandfather of Derek, Heather, John, III and also 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Friends will gather on Tuesday in the parking lot of Holy Family Church in Rockland (to organize procession to Mt. Hope Cemetery in Weymouth) prior to the Mass at 11 AM which will be celebrated for both John and his sister Concetta.
