John L. Swanson

Swanson, John L. of Hingham, formerly of Quincy, died July 11, 2009. Devoted husband of Barbara Swanson of Hingham. Beloved father of Eric Swanson of Quincy, Sarah Lash of New York, NY, Lynne Swanson of Clermont, FL, Amy Lash-Boyes of Pawtucket, RI, and Albert Lash, IV of Bethesda, MD. Loving brother of Robert Swanson and Nancy Casinelli both of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Sadie Boyes, Eloise Lash, and Orly Boyes. Also lovingly survived by nieces and nephews Stephan Marinelli and Nicole, Mikey and Eric Casinelli. After earning his doctorate in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, John went on to work as a Mechanical Engineer for Arthur D. Little and Thermoelectron. He grew up in Quincy and had been a resident of Hingham for over 25 years. John was a member of the South Shore Camera Club and the Board of Directors of Bare Cove Park. John adored his family and will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 15th at 3:00pm at Old Ship Church, Hingham.
