John Joseph Karo

John Joseph Karo of North Weymouth, passed away peacefully March 31, 2023. He was 90.75 years old.

Son of the late John A. and Stella Karo (Kar).  A graduate of Kutztown University in PA. He worked as a teacher and vice principal in the Brockton Public Schools for 32 years. John was also a baseball, basketball, and football official for more than 40 years. 

Loving husband of Joan Karo (Lukis) of North Weymouth. Devoted father of Douglas Karo and his wife Kara of Hingham and Kevin Karo and Liana Tyler of North Weymouth. Adoring grandfather of Kathryn and Michael Karo. He was a cherished uncle to his nephews and the beloved brother of his late siblings; Anna Heller, Gisella Leonard and Teresa Kearney. Dear brother-in-law to Ken and Barbara Lukis.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Tuesday, April 4th, from 3-7 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5th, at St. Jerome’s Church, North Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial immediately following Mass in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
