John “Jack” Rundle

John “Jack” Rundle of Weymouth, passed away with his loving family by his side on July 22, 2023. He was 81 years old.  He now sleeps peacefully awaiting the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Jack was born in Orange, NJ to the late James R. and Thelma (Lundgren) Rundle.  He went on to graduate from Braintree High School, Class of 1960 and then graduated from Burdett College in 1962.  Jack married the love of his life Gail Wing in 1963 and they started a family of their own. His family always came first, always.  Jack was raised a Christadelphian and remained devout to his faith all his life. He was a fan of Boston sports and greatly enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting. He also treasured his family vacations on Cape Cod.

 

Jack starting working in the family business as a teenager.  Western Performance, formerly Western Auto, was located in Weymouth and Hanover.  He worked side by side with son for over 30 years and worked 6 days a week right up until his cancer diagnosis.  He couldn’t quite bring himself to retire as his close friends would come by the store to socialize.

 

Beloved husband of Gail Rundle of Weymouth. Cherished father of Kristen Rundle and her husband Jim Molignano of Weymouth and John F. Rundle and his wife Tammy of Pembroke. Loving grandfather of Katherine Conway and her husband Daniel, Matthew Hintz and his wife Kylie, and Jacob and William Rundle, and great grandfather of Charlotte Hintz and Maeve Conway. Dear brother of James Rundle and his late wife Marcia of NH. Also will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

 

Service were privately held upon Jack’s request.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Christadelphian Church C/O Butch Rundle, 155 West Elm St. Pembroke MA, 02359.
