John “Jack” Riordan

Riordan, John “Jack”, age 50, of Quincy, formerly of Westwood, died on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Beloved husband of Pamela J. (Jacobs) Riordan and father to Kristina of Quincy. Loving son of Herbert and Sue (Garrity) Riordan of Mashpee and the late Mary (Kelley) Riordan. Brother of James of Boston, Lynne Greenwood of N. Falmouth, Kevin of Westwood and the late Richard and Suzanne. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his pets Lucy, Oliver and Oreo. Family and friends meant everything for Jack. He adored his wife Pam and daughter Kristina and cherished the years they spent together. Jack had an amazing group of very close friends that affectionately called him “Dad” because of his responsible and caring personality. A major sports fan, he enjoyed all the Boston professional teams. He loved the ocean, boating, fishing, and was a longtime member of the Quincy Yacht Club. He will be remembered for his giving spirit, blue eyes, sense of humor, and his genuine love for people. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday, July 9, 2010 from 4-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Saturday, July 10, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church at 10AM. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury. Donations in memory of Jack may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Contribution Services, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Fl, Brookline, MA 02445. IN HONOR OF JACK AND HIS COLORFUL SPIRIT HIS FAMILY ENCOURAGES YOU TO DRESS IN BRIGHT, COMFORTABLE, AND CASUAL ATTIRE; PREFERABLY WITH A RED SOX THEME.
