John “Jack” Leary

John “Jack” X.  Leary, age 86, of Squantum, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2021, surrounded by his children.   

Jack lived an incredible life of faith and family. The son of the late Margaret and John H. Leary. Beloved husband of the late Margaret “Conroy” Leary.  He is survived by his children John P. Leary and his wife Pattie Leary of Duxbury, Edward J. Leary and wife Simone Leary of Quincy, Meg Slattery and husband Chris Slattery of Plymouth and Tricia Bouzan and husband Brian Bouzan of Rockland.  He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was an avid Boston sports fan, who loved golfing and enjoyed trips to Maine and camping with his family. He was known as a devoted family man and loved family gatherings with all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack was born and raised in Milton.  Following his high school graduation, he joined his dad in the family owned gas station until he joined the MBTA as a mechanic for 30 years before his retirement. He lived in Squantum with his family for last 63 years. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends!

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth, P.O. Box 690789, Quincy, MA 02269.
