John J. Zardeskas of Weymouth, died January 3, 2016 at the age of 82 surrounded by loving and caring family who spent 12 days at his bedside.
John graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1951 and years later became active in their reunion committee. After proudly serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he went to work at Bethlehem Steel in New York, General Dynamics in Quincy, where he served as Shop Steward, and later Plymouth Quarries. While working at Plymouth Quarries he started a part time job at Marsh’s Liquors in Norwell where he remained for over 20 years. He loved interacting with customers and recommending the perfect wine. He was an avid Red Sox fan, an extensive baseball card collector and was very proud of a photo taken of his Dad and Babe Ruth. John also enjoyed dining out and traveling.
