John J. Sugrue Jr.

Sugrue, John J., Jr. of Weymouth, died July 9, 2013 surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. 

John graduated from UMass Boston and continued his education at Nova Southeast University where he received his Masters Degree. He later became the processing manager for Sanofi Pasteur in Canton.  John was a hard working man and was always willing to help those in need.  His main passion was his family, whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Beloved husband of Gretchen (Ripley) Sugrue of Weymouth. Loving father of John A. Sugrue and his fiancé Melanie Collins and David R. Sugrue both of Weymouth.  Devoted son of the late John J. Sugrue and Veronica (Blake) Sugrue.  Caring brother of Barbara Driscoll and her husband William of Weymouth, Veronica Bowler of Weymouth, Donald Sugrue and his wife Joyce of Quincy, Denise Butler and her husband Steven of Weymouth and Robert Sugrue and his wife Paula of Mansfield. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Service in Union Congregational Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.

In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to the Sugrue Fund at South Shore Savings Bank, 1530 Main Street, Weymouth MA.
